2021 passed me by and I didn’t even know the mighty Pharaoh put out a whole album (thank god for the endless barrage of ‘end of the year lists’ around this time). What can I say? Tim Aymar keeps getting absurdly better with age and Matt is just a wizard with a guitar. Just…thank you guys!

An eclectic but incredibly well-integrated blend of traditional death metal, melodeath, black metal, progressive, and even a bit of folk (with the added bonus of audible and tasty bass guitar). The album has a consistent, pulverizing momentum punctuated by the rare acoustic passage or catchy chorus/refrain. Overall an unbelievably mature first offering from an up-and-coming band to watch.

I'm a big fan of The Faceless middle two albums and when I saw Lyle Cooper was on this album I knew I needed to check it out. I bought the discography almost instantly, reminds me a little of The Faceless and a bit more of Fallujah who I also adore. Well worth the money, Support these great Musicians!
